Testimonials & Interviews

February 26, 2008
"...My time in the
army ended in June
of 2005. I did
communications in
the army for the 4
years I was in. I
dealt with servers,
PCs, radios,
satellites, Cisco
gear, and just about
any other electronic
device you can think
of. I swore that I
would never have an
IT job again after
the army. I went
into construction
when I got home to
Tampa. Well, this
only lasted a year
due to the market
heading south. I got
layed off. I then
decided that IT was
my forte and I saw
FastTrain's booth at
a career expo I
attended. I decided
to go ahead and
apply for the Sallie
Mae loan and was
improved. I signed
up for the 9 month
Certified Network
Professional track.
This would take me
through A+, N+,
Security+, Microsoft
Certs, and Cisco
certs. Since I was
unemployed I was
able to get help
from the government
for this training.
They
put $5,000 in
towards my
schooling. I also
worked hard to do
well on the
certification tests.
My final triumph at
FastTrain was the
CCNA certification.
This neatly tied up
the Cisco experience
that I already had.
Toward the end of my
FastTrain career I
started job hunting.
I got a hold of 3
different staffing
firms. I have
probably about 8
interviews with
respective
employers. I was
then hired by St Leo
University (Pasco
County) through Tek
Systems, a staffing
firm 2 buildings
down from the
FastTrain building.
They put me in a
decent paying
Network Analyst slot
here at the
university. After 3
months, I went
permanent with St.
Leo.
As
far as the FastTrain
experience itself,
well, all I can say
is...it is some of
the best training I
have experienced.
The instructors are
top notch. They
often work with you
on an individual
level in order to
ensure that you have
the knowledge you
need not only to
obtain your
certification, but
to compete in the
real IT world. Their
hands on lab and
exercises only
enhance the value of
the education that
is provided. it is
one thing to read a
book about routers,
study it, and go
take a cert. It is
an entirely
different thing to
actually configure a
router. You can do
this at FastTrain.
The quality of
training is second
to non. In fact, I
may be going back to
FastTrain to get
more advanced router
training in the next
few months. The
university will pay
for this. If you are
deciding to get back
into the IT field,
or are just starting
out, use FastTrain.
They teach you the
content, not just
cram a book down
your throat..."

Dear Maryanne
"I want to thank you
for helping me find
the job I've been
looking for! Since
graduation from
Fasttrain I have
looked at and
considered various IT
opportunities, but
none that would suit
what I had imagined as
a long term career.
You listened to me and
what I was really
looking for in a
company and position
to give me the best
opportunity for
success. Of course
you know that I have
accepted a position
with Blue Cross Blue
Shield and really just
can't tell you how
much your
recommendation has
helped in the process,
not just the
opportunity but also
the confidence boost
in knowing that you
are confident I can do
the job. I of course
would not be prepared
for this if it wasn't
for the absolute best
instructors a person
could learn from. So
let me take time to
specifically thank
Alex Soler and Mason
Brown for all the
knowledge and
instruction they gave
me. They have given
me the key's to
succeed and have given
me a sense of comfort
as they will always
help a student even
after they have
completed their
training. It's rare
that you find a group
a people dedicated to
help you succeed and I
want to say THANK YOU
ALL!"

Dear
Lindsay, Randy and Sheila,
I wanted to
thank all of you for your
hard work.
Randy was
my first contact with
FastTrain. He was very
professional and was able
to answer all my questions
I had about the school,
about financing and the
new course FastTrain was
doing in Clearwater. He
made me feel very welcome
at the school and was more
than willing to help with
any questions or problems
that arose after I started
my class.
Being one
of the first students to
take the Medical Billing
Specialist course in
Clearwater, I was very
impressed with the
knowledge Sheila has and
how well the course was
laid out. There is a lot
of material to cover and a
lot of information to
retain, ie: medical
terminology being the
hardest, I feel. But
Sheila not only made it
easy to understand but
gave the personal
attention you needed to
succeed in her class.
After
graduation, Lindsay
McDonald was the next in
line to help you succeed
in the field. The job
market today is rough and
she never took NO for an
answer. She kept on
tugging away to help land
me my first job. It was
no easy task for either of
us but she pulled me
through. She was there for
me thick and thin. She
felt my frustrations and
was very helpful in
keeping me on track and
positive that something
will come along. I am now
working at a Medical
billing company and loving
it!!!!!
I’ve been
to other Technical
Colleges in Colorado and
they didn’t go that extra
mile that I found at
FastTrain. I will
recommend this school to
anyone who wants to get
into Medical Billing and
Coding. They give you the
personal attention you
need in ALL the phases of
your new career change.
Thank you
so much for all your hard
work and personal
attention!!! You all are
#1 in my book.
Sincerely,
Kim Foushee

"I am very
grateful to FastTrain and their

Because of their hard work and

excellent training and a
promising career future.
I want to thank
Bunny Sherr, Theo Gibbings and
Jose Poten for their
unconditional support."

...in the 5 1/2 months since i
have started to work i have
purchased my own home and a new
car and I still have money left
over to enjoy life and save for
future emergencies, and that i
work for a web based travel
agency. I would love to provide
a testimonial for Fasttrain, as
the education i received there
was so instrumental in helping
me to jumpstart my life after
retiring from the military.

"I entered the
FastTrain program to enhance my
already extensive computer skills
to make myself more marketable in
the competitive IT field.
FastTrain's convenient night
schedule allowed me to obtain
superb instruction in a timely
manner. The small lab environment
classes along with my instructor
Eric, gave me with (sic) a
plethora of information. With the
help of Lindsay in FastTrain's job
placement department, my new
Microsoft certification allowed me
to advance to a higher paying and
more challenging IT consulting
job. Thank you to all that helped me
through my certification process."

Dear Bunny:
"I just wanted to
thank you and Theo for all your
help. After being laid off in
December 2003, I had to decide
what I wanted to do with my
future. After meeting with Theo
and yourself I made the decision
to give FastTrain a try. I
enrolled for the CRT path and
within 3 months I was A+ and
Network+ Certified. After
receiving my certification I was
handed over to you to help me find
a career. You got me in the door
with some GREAT internships that
look fantastic on my resume. Then
NCR came to you looking for techs.
You got me in touch with them and
I now have an opportunity I
thought I'd never have just a few
months ago. Thank you very much!
Thanks to everyone at FastTrain!
Your were a BIG help."

“I just finished my
CNP curriculum at FastTrain and I
can tell you that I am glad I have
chosen this school. The teachers
have an extensive knowledge on the
field and they are very
supportive. I feel like I am ready
for the real word, and I have
confidence that what I learned and
how I was prepared for the exams
gave me the strength for it. Also
I started an internship on the
field that is going to give me
more knowledge, and this
internship was arranged through
the job placement help that
FastTrain offers. So, my advice
is: if you need to get training
for the exams on the IT field and
need to get on this track fast,
dedication from your part and
FastTrain can be the best
combination that you can have!
Thanks FastTrain!”

Hello Bunny, I just wanted to
thank you for hooking me up with
the internship after completing my
MCSE track at FastTrain.
The
MCSE training at
FastTrain and the
internship proved to be a great
combination for orienting me to
the problems that arise in the
real world. It also placed me in
an excellent position for getting
hired; which happened one month
into the internship. I highly
recommend taking an internship as
it gives valuable experience and
can lead to getting that first
job.
Thank you again Bunny and
FastTrain for
everything.
Sincerely, Robert S Gotch.

Dear Bunny,Thank you for
letting me know about the
internship opportunity with
HotBrick Network Solutions. The
internship turned out great. I was
interning there for three weeks
and I was offered a full time
position. I am learning a lot and
this is a company that can help me
achieve many of my career goals.
Students of Fast Train should take
advantage of internship
opportunities because they help
you get "the foot in the door"
into the Information Technology
field and you get hands on
experience with a company. Thank
you once again for your help
Bunny.
Sincerely, Italo A. Intriago

Dear Mr. Amor,
My name is Tyrone
Sherlock. I am a student at your school. I would like to take this
opportunity to commend you on the professional learning environment you
have provided.
Before I came to your
school I was studying on my own while looking to get out of my dead end
job. I went to a job fair October of last year and met Miss Bunny Sherr.
At first I was skeptical at all the things she said she could do for me
but after speaking with her for about half an hour she convinced me to
enroll. Which I did that same day.
I could not have been
happier with my decision. My instructors, namely, Mark, Matt And Scott
were very professional and highly knowledgeable. While attending school
Bunny also told me she would help me get a job in what I was studying. She
meant every word. She got me a great job with much more of a future than
the one I left.
Mr. Amor, if people like
the instructors I mentioned and Bunny are indicative of your school then I
promise to send as many people as possible to get their education from
FastTrain.
Sincerely,
Tyrone Sherlock

Dear Mr. Amor,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the wonderful branch of
FastTrain that you recently opened in Tampa. Too often, complaints are all
you will get. I enrolled in the Tampa location in December. I started the
CRT program on January 6th and am heading into my last week. Tony Jimenez
has made the class both informative and entertaining. I scored 827 on my
hardware test and look forward to taking the software test in the next
week or two. The only thing I am not looking forward to is the end of the
class. I already know that I am going to miss having Tony as a teacher.
The only saving grace is that I know Tony is dedicated to seeing me
succeed and will be there for me and the other students whenever we need
him. His dedication to preparing us for the exams and the real world has
been invaluable.
I would be remiss if I didn't also tell you what a great job Gina and
Lindsay do as well. I also look forward Eric's class as I get ready to
move on to MCSE. Once again, thank you for the great people you have here
in Tampa. I only hope that my experience with your job placement people
will be as great.

Dear Mr. Corrales,
My name is Gary
Oldberg,
I am a student at your Pembroke
Pines location, currently
enrolled in the MCSE program. I
began with Fast Train in
February of this year having
enrolled in A+
courses.
I spent a tremendous amount of
time researching the various
“schools” and vocational centers
offering training for a career
in the IT field and I’m
convinced more than ever that I
made a wise choice in selecting
Fast Train.
Most Sincerely,
Gary Oldberg

"...FastTrain has some very good instructors."
 |
"I think that
the big difference between schools, because I’ve taken a couple courses

books. But I think the instructors make the difference and FastTrain
has some very good instructors."

"I’m currently a

Question -
What do you have to say to someone maybe out there like yourself who is
thinking, “I like computers and thinking about making a move”?
"Computers is an excellent field to be in. The environment
here at FastTrain is very friendly. The instructors are knowledgeable and
encouraging. You definitely get a sense that they care about you and that they
want to make sure that you get hands-on experience so that you do the best
that you can in the real world." Robert Rubin

Dear Mr. Amor:
I
want to express my gratitude to Fast
Train for exposing me to the Window 2000
Office applications. I have heard your
radio advertising on WQAM for many
months and was somewhat skeptical. That
was until I was laid-off from my job in
May. My unemployment counselor from
Operation Paycheck referred me to Fast
Train for MOUS training.
I
can’t thank enough Orestes Prieto, who
was my instructor. He was patient,
knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. He
taught in such away that little by
little each program began to make sense.
I now have the confidence and the tools
to use each program as well as to try
more difficult tasks.
A
big thank you is also extended to Yvonne
Fontanes. She was so friendly and
sympathetic. It was a pleasure to work
with her. Her energy and enthusiasm are
assets to your company.
It
will be a pleasure to recommend your
faculty to others in the future.
Sincerely,

Dear FastTrain
"As a network engineer..., I realized that to further my career I needed to get
my certifications up to date. FastTrain offered a program that met my needs
and did not conflict with my career goals. I was able to finance the cost of
my education quite easily. The instructors were always knowledgeable and
informative. The material presented to me was very helpful in continuing
my career objectives. Job placement helped me find a position more in
tune with what my needs are. Now, I am with a company that supports 150+
locations."
Thanks FastTrain!!! Mike Hernandez
"FastTrain
was the key to my successful career change."
Gus
Bustamante Jr.
"FastTrain was the key to my successful career change. I
was working for 13 years at a thankless job which I
abhorred! I was always a computer nerd, building my own PC's, breaking
them, fixing them, upgrading hardware/software, and doing it all over
again, just because I loved the technology. Soon I began doing the same
for friends & family, and even some paying referrals! I decided to
stop hating my job, and start working towards beginning a career in IT. It
was a big decision, but the time was right, and I was motivated. I saved
the money for training and accumulated my vacation for the
transition.
After much consideration, I chose
FastTrain.
I took the two week long day and I also sat in on some night classes. I
continued to use the lab facility after the two week course was over, as
well as the practice exam stations. The most invaluable, and priceless
resource was my instructor Jim Cook. He was always available for me even
after the class was over. With his help, I was able to pass every exam on
my first try, and completed them in 8 weeks!
Having the MCSE helped me get my foot in
the door, where before I would not even get any calls or replies to my
resume, I was now able to get interviews! I found a job within 1 week, and
have been learning ever since! I started as an entry level helpdesk
support rep (which all paper MCSE's must do) within a month, I was the
lead tech, within 3 months I was mentoring with the Network Engineers, and
within 6 months, promoted to Network Systems Engineer. Be forewarned, the
learning never slows down, the MCSE training was good preparation for the
hours of studying and learning of technology which is a daily (and
nightly) routine in the IT field. Looking back, I would not have changed a
thing. I recommend FastTrain to my friends and family. My younger cousin
is now enrolled, and on his way!"
"...regardless of your
education, you can land a highly paid position"
Brian
Aaronoff
"FastTrain gave me the break I
needed to land the job of my dreams. Let's face it, if you don't have that
college degree nowadays, you can be stuck in an unsatisfying low level job
with an income that barely allows you to survive. FastTrain can prepare
you so you can pass the certification process from Microsoft to become an
MCSE. So, regardless of your education, you can land a highly paid
position with astronomical opportunities for advancement to six figure
incomes. It's just what I needed and Motorola doesn't even care if my hair
is long."
"I accepted a job within a week in my home country, Brazil.
Lucy
Norwood
"I started classes at FastTrain
so I could learn how to work with computers, troubleshoot them, repair
them and assemble them. Also I wanted to know how they worked in a
network. After completing my A+ training I accepted a job within a week in
my home country, Brazil. Thanks to Mr. Vargas and all the people at
FastTrain for really teaching and taking a personal interest in my
success."

Mr. Walt Palmer Director of Admissions FastTrain 5555 W. Flagler Street Miami, Florida 33134
Dear Mr. Palmer:
Just a note to extend my appreciation
to you and your staff. FastTrain provided our employees with excellent
training in a wonderful atmosphere. Our people returned from your
facility with an incredible amount of practical and useful new
knowledge.
EPS is already reaping the rewards of
additional productivity and software features that we had no idea
existed. FastTrain provided the best training at he best price. Please
send me information regarding other classes you feel could further
bolster our competitive edge.
Thanks again,

Bottom Line:
As you read the testimonials, one factor will
be repeated over and over. It's the instructors,
successful placement department and
staff who really make the difference
from one school to another. Yes, FastTrain wants to fill classes in order to
have a good looking balance sheet just like any other business or entity. But
FastTrain realizes that the only way to sustain success is to provide a
quality teaching staff and an
effective job placement record. That's the FastTrain devotion
and it has enabled us to expand
throughout Florida as the respected
institution it now enjoys among the
other similar schools.
Enroll
with a winner. Get on the FastTrain!
Please note:
-
The
largest percentage of our new students come from student referrals.
-
We
are unlike many schools because we do not advocate the rote memorization
method of teaching to pass the exams. Our students must "learn" the material
and how to apply it. That's why our students excel in the workforce.
-
Currently (Summer
'04), the job outlook for ITs in
Florida is exploding.
-
FACT! There are jobs available.
FastTrain has the "Fast Track" on them.
