On November 10th, 2011 during the first ever FastTrain College graduation ceremony, President Alex Amor announced the Congressman Alcee Hastings Annual Leadership Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to two deserving students for $2500 each.
This year the scholarship was presented to Pembroke Pines graduate Kimberly Turner and Kendall graduate Gary Barrientos.
